A much needed night of debauchery. Started off our night in the Red Light District at the Impala. Among all the drunken madness and peepshows we finished our night at The Alembic off Haight St. 5 days til my interview at UCSF. Let's do this.

NITTO LOVE HATE TRACK DROPS.

Nitto Love X Hate track bars! Tell me this is not Jaw-dropping cool. A mixture of two of my favorites I have yet to see and probably the main reason why it is so Frickin' cool. Nitto's B123 steel drop bar which are still used heavily in Keirin races in Japan and favored by many fixed gear enthusiasts for its simple and beautifully curved design. British custom painters, Death Spray Custom has taken the drop bars and added another simple touch that many can relate to. The “Love/Hate” phrase/design, is painted as hands gripping on the bar in a wrap around illustration style.

HELLO KITTY TAT.

Went to my local Denny's late Halloween night. Our waitress, a woman in her late 40's was outfitted in a witch costume with a pasty green face. Under all the black bellowing sleeves was peeking her Hello Kitty trinkets dangling from her phone with a tattoo to match.

Just came across this frame. Been looking at NJS track builds for some time now. This track frame is killer. A mustard/gold colored NAGASAWA with orange logos!!! How the hell does that work so well?!

Seriously, what is this thing?  An anrgy turd? But hey, who really cares. Something to do when your bored.

OVERDUE UPDATE.

So here's the break down. I've stripped the paint with some friendly, unenvironmentally safe, will burn the shit out of you, Jasco Premium Paint remover. Keep a bucket of water next to you. Working with some pretty strong acid. You can feel the heat through the rubber gloves and you have todip your hands in the bucket once in awhile to neutralize the acid. Removing the paint was no easy task. Spent about 2.5 Saturday's to fully strip the bike. It is an old bike so the paint was extremely tough.

Next, I finally found a Suzue Pro Wheel set rear 110 spaced with a 18t Phil wood cog. Definitely a search. It was so hard to find a 110 rear wheel spaced, so I bought a slotted 110 axle kit 8mm which worked in my favor since the Suzue Pro set was 10mm! We are talking about specifics. Finding a wheel built up was took me the longest to find, even in San Francisco. I knew where to buy the hubs but did not want to spend that extra $$$ building it up. Thanks again Michael for hooking me up with that axle kit! I almost purchased a Dura Ace wheel set, but missed his call and it was gone by then. So the search continued until this wheel set popped up on the market and I was on it.

Everything is coming along pretty sweet. Paint job is next and I finally decided on a paint job and a great quote at Mojo Bycycle Cafe. I will definitely post the frame up after it's done.

Had the pleasure of finishing a bottle of Don Julio 1942 Tequila. One of the finest Tequila I have ever tasted. 42% Alcohol & No Burn (well maybe just a tad).

I have nothing but fond memories of my Transformers toys when I was growing up, but even with impressive additions like the Dinobots or SkyLynx, my hands down favorite transformer of all time was Ravage.
